Eric's Bio
Originally from New Mexico
Eric Kirker was born in Silver City, NM and moved to Las Cruces, NM at the age of 7. As far a he could remember, he was one of the most creative kids in his class once he made it to Las Cruces High School, he was known as someone who would be successful with his artwork. Known as the high school artist he was offered to be Las Cruces High School team spirit artist and painted school pride murals all around school.
Moved away for the art
Eric soon realized that a traditional college was not for him. He wanted to dive in head first into art school and once graduated form LCHS he packed up and moved to Tempe, AZ where he was accepted to enroll into an art college. There he would find out that there was more to than just drawing and painting. Along the way he studied graphic designing but did not know that making his artwork come to life was something more appealing to him. He soon graduated from art school and packed his car to move to LA to attend makeup school for film and found his true calling in special FX makeup for film. Blood, guts, and monsters is where he felt his true calling. He spent the next 1 year living in his car attending makeup school and once graduated he was hired to teach makeup.
Making it happen
Fastward to today. Eric has been blessed to be on multiple projects and has been afforded the opportunities that not many get to experience. He's had the pleasure of working with lots of big celerities and has made many connections along the way. He lives in Las Cruces, NM pursuing his makeup career and now has been writing and directing. He can proudly say that he is making it happen for himself. Nothing stops him. He is full of creative drive.
